Woman in critical condition following wreck on Loop 1604

A woman was taken to University Hospital in critical condition after she was thrown from her vehicle following a wreck on Loop 1604 early Saturday morning. San Antonio police say the woman was driving eastbound on Loop 1604 on the North Side near Shanefield Road when the accident occurred. According to police she was rear-ended by another vehicle, which caused her to lose control of her vehicle and roll over. The woman suffered major head injuries.
