Woman dies in two-vehicle crash in Williamsburg

Williamsburg, Va. – A 63-year-old woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Windsormeade Way in Williamsburg on Tuesday afternoon. Abernathy had stopped the vehicle at a stop sign near the Martin’s gas station and then proceeded across Windsormeade Way to enter the shopping center. James City County Police say they responded to the crash around 2:00 p.m. The crash remains under investigation but no charges are expected to be filed. It was then that Abernathy’s vehicle was hit on the driver’s side by a 2000 Toyota pickup truck that was headed toward Monticello Avenue.
