Maryland State Police are investigating a fatal car crash in Davidsonville Friday morning.
The crash happened on MD 50 westbound near MD 424, Anne Arundel County police said at 6:45 a.m. Maryland State Police at the Glen Burnie Barrack said they had few details immediately available on the crash.
It was not yet known whether a storm that dropped more than an inch of rain across the region before 6:30 a.m. contributed to the crash. Two lanes are open on MD 50 but traffic is delayed, county police said.

He lost control of his vehicle while going around a curve in the road and struck an oncoming 2011 Chevrolet Traverse sideways. Shockley was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
One person was killed when a tractor trailer and dump truck collided on northbound Interstate 95 near Perryville Monday morning, Maryland State Police said.
