Wesley Burton co-hosted a music show called Sideshow Radio and After Hours. His last broadcast was Friday. Burton was driving home after the show early Saturday when he was hit by a speeding Dodge Charger on Martin Luther King Boulevard.
At around 11:57 p.m. a woman was struck by an SUV in the 3500 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Way that fled the scene. She was then struck by a transit bus. The bus stayed at the scene.
Police attempted to pull over a vehicle at around 12:51 a.m. on Tennyson Road near the Interstate 880 exit. The car instead attempted to flee, before running into a power pole. The male driver of the car fled the scene, leaving two passengers, a woman and a child, inside.

U.S. Marshals were conducting surveillance in an unmarked vehicle in East Oakland when a black Buick sedan attempted to avoid surveillance. However, the suspect car collided with the marshal's vehicle and then kept going.
