Motorcyclist killed after downtown crash

A motorcyclist is dead and another driver is in jail after a crash in downtown Austin Sunday morning. Police say around 1:30 a.m. the driver of a white sedan was trying to make a left off of Congress Ave. onto 4th St. when he hit the motorcyclist. Vehicular Homicide Detectives were called out and arrested the driver for possible intoxication charges. The names of the victim and the suspect have not been released.

Man, 25, charged after fatal motorcycle crash downtown

The vehicle turned in front of the motorcycle, causing the motorcycle to collide into the car. The motorcyclist, identified as 28-year-old Brian Young, died on the scene.

The driver of the vehicle, Edgar Zuniga, was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter.
