At around 8:36 p.m. Monday just outside East Helena, a semi-truck was eastbound on Highway 12 when it collided head-on with the pick up truck that was traveling west. The collision occurred in the westbound lane of the highway. The pickup driver, a 45-year-old Gregory McFerrin, was not wearing a seat belt and was killed. The 33-year-old driver of the semi-trailer, Asad Khan, was brought to St. Peter's Hospital with unknown injuries. We'll update this story as more information becomes available.

At around 2:20 a.m. emergency crews were called to an accident on Rattlesnake Drive where a car had rolled over, injuring the driver inside. It did not appear that any other vehicles were involved in the crash. The driver, a male, was treated at the scene by medics and then transported to a hospital for further treatment. His identity has not been released.

A Saturday morning crash leaves one woman dead and two others injured in Missoula, Montana. The accident occured on the Reserve Street Bridge when two cars travelling northbound collided. The first car, driven by a 25-year-old man with a 24-year-old female passenger, crossed the center line and was struck by a pickup, driven by a 57-year-old man. The three people involved in the crash were sent to St. Patrick's Hospital where the female passenger was declared deceased. The extent of the drivers' injuries are not yet known, but they are believed by police to not be life threatening.

A 52-year-old Billings woman identified as Cheryl Bearclaw died following in a single-vehicle crash on Pryor Creek Road, about 8 miles north of Pryor. According to Montana Highway Patrol, Bearclaw was northbound on Pryor Creek Road about eight miles from Pryor when shortly before 10 p.m., her vehicle nearly struck another vehicle, swerved across the oncoming traffic lane, struck an embankment on the side of the road, causing the car to go over a fence, finally landing about 75 feet from the roadway. Bearclaw was not wearing a seat belt, and wss pronounced dead at the scene.

It was 2:16pm when 21-month-old Wyles was hit by a pickup driven by a 35-year-old woman and died of head-injuries. The woman driving the truck was backing out of a parking space at the Rose Park Apartments, and claims that she could not see the toddler when she was backing out. Toxicology tests are underway, but no citations have been issued as of yet. Check back for updates.

A collision between a Ford Ranger pickup and a Toyota pickup at about 6:15 a.m. Tuesday on Montana 35 killed Ernest William Thureno, 62, of Kalispell. A 40-year-old Kalispell man driving the other pickup suffered serious injuries. The crash happened in the eastbound lane of Montana 35, but troopers are still trying to identify which direction each pickup was heading. Thureno was pronounced deceased at the crash site. The male driver of the other vehicle was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center by ambulance. His identity has not yet been released.

For reasons unknown, Kallen was on I-90 at about 2:20am on-foot and suddently stepped into the path of a westbound semi-truck, dying from the impact. The truck driver was not hurt in the accident. Kallen was a junior at the University of Montana. We will update this accident as more information is released.

A small plane crashed in northwest Montana near Flathead Lake northwest of Ronan, killing the pilot and injuring a passenger at around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. Authorities believe the aircraft had taken off from the Polson airport. Lake County Sheriff's Office says the pilot was Brett Thoft from Wasilla, Alaska, and the passenger was a local Montana resident, Tim Schauss. The passenger was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

Kaneeta Harris, 75, was killed in an end-over-end car accident on Pryor Gap Road east of Pryor at about 11:20 a.m. on Sunday. Harris was the sole occupant and was driving northbound on Pryor Gap Road when her car exited the road, traveled through a drainage ditch, and rolled end-over-end until it came to a stop in a field. Harris was partially ejected from the vehicle. She was transported from the crash site to a local hospital where she died It is believed that she was not wearing a seat belt.

A car containing two teenage boys was attempting to pass a vehicle that was in front of them, but ended up striking a third vehicle, departing the road, and finally coming to rest after running into a bridge rail. Both of the boys remain in the hospital in critical condition, but the driver of the vehicle that they struck was uninjured.
