Jordan Marecek, 26, seriously injured after moped crash at the intersection of Navasota Street and Hackberry in Austin, Texas

Jordan Marecek was driving her moped at the intersection of Navasota Street and Hackberry when witnesses say she hit an exposed water pipe and flew over the moped's handlebars. She suffered broken bones in her face and ribs, as well as other injuries. She was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident .A spokesperson with Austin's Public Works Department said it is an underground utility water pipe valve that she hit. On March 3, crews came out and put a cover over it, but the problem has not been competely solved just yet.
