The bus driver died at Akron City Hospital after in the incident at Middlebury Academy, Akron Police Lt. Rick Edwards said. The driver was able to pull the girl out of the path of the bus before being run over, and the girl was not injured. Both the crash and the bus itself will be investigated to see if mechanical failures led to the accident.
