Two are dead following a 2:45 a.m. car accident on I-70 in Columbus between I-270 and S. Hamilton Road. Local police closed both sides of I-70 at Brice Road at approximatley 3:30 AM to begin their investigation, and they say Melita Briggs, 31, was driving west in a Jeep Liberty when she crossed the I-70 median and crashed through a wire guardrail, pinning the SUV against a support pole for a highway sign. At this point the Jeep caught fire. A passenger, Joslin Winborn, 22, was thrown from the Jeep during the impact and died at the scene.
