Gerald Neal Allen died when his motorocyle was hit by the truck of Everett Miller III, 35.  The driver of the truck was pulling a trailer and traveling south on the highway Monday night when he turned left into the oncoming path of motorcycle driver Gerald Neal Allen.  It is believed that when Miller turned, Allen and his motorocyle were slammed into the truck's trailer.  Allen was pronounced dead at the scene. In addition to murder, Miller has been charged with driving while under the influence of intoxicants and driving with a suspended or revoked license.

A man died after wrecking his motorcycle into a utility pole in rural Meade County, Kentucky. The crash occurred Saturday just after 8 p.m., in the 1900 block of Midway Road (Highway 1239) between Navaho Trail Road and Sirocco-Midway Road, southwest of the city of Brandenburg. Meade County Sheriff Butch Kerrick said their investigation found the victim was from Louisville and was not familiar with the Meade County road. No other vehicles were involved. Police said they believe alcohol and speed were factors in the wreck.

A cattle truck was traveling eastbound when it hit a car that was driving the wrong way on US 60. The semi overturned with 35 cows on board at the time. Eight cows had to be euthanized due to their injuries, and six or seven cows are still unaccounted for. The road was closed for several hours while police rounded up the cows. Both the female driver of the car and the truck driver were taken to the hospital. The female driver is being cited with driving under the influence and reckless driving.
