Hartford & New Haven, CTFour cars collided at the intersection of Routes 202 and 179, sending 8 people to the hospital. The collision occured around 4 p.m., and all the people involved are reported to have suffered non-life threatening injuries. Route 202 was closed for about an hour and a half in the area while the crash was cleared.

Hartford & New Haven, CTA West Hartford mother faces drunken driving and risk of injury to a minor charges after Canton police stopped her Monday.
Christine Cornachio, 50, was released and is to be arraigned Jan. 29 at Superior Court in Hartford for the drunken driving case and Jan. 30 for the risk of injury to a minor case.
Canton police said they had been alerted by Winsted police to be on the lookout for a car that had been involved in an accident that left the scene.
Winsted police also said the car's driver appeared to be intoxicated and had two children in the car. Police said the children were Cornachio's.
