Former drummer for Lynyrd Skynyrd, Robert Burns is dead at 64 after his car hit a mailbox and a tree in Cartersville, Georgia. The single vehicle crash occurred shortly before midnight on Friday. Burns was part of the Lynyrd Skynyrd band’s initial lineup, which formed in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1965. The band produced famous rock anthems including “Sweet Home Alabama” and “Freebird.”
