Saturday, March 7, 2015Police have identified Karolyn Rich, 63, as the woman killed in a two-vehicle collision at U.S. 31 and James Street. Rich was driving a Chevy Malibu on James Street when she failed to stop for a red light at U.S. 31. The Malibu was hit by a Chevy pickup truck driven by Brent Groenewoud, 40, of Holland. Both drivers were transported to Holland Hospital, where Rich was pronounced deceased.

Thursday, February 12, 2015At about 2:20pm, Rector was exiting a Mobil gas station onto Adams street, but failed to yield to a westbound car on the road, which struck her car on the driver's side. The collision seriously injured both Rector and Mulders, who was a passenger in her vehicle, and Rector was airlifted to a hospital. The driver of the westbound car, identified as Tiffany DeRoo, 20, was hospitalized with minor injuries, and the three passengers in her car, which included two children aged 3 and 5, sustained minor injuries but were not hospitalized.
