At least seven people were injured in a four-car crash early Thursday in the West Town neighborhood on the North Side.

About 1:30 a.m., a 29-year-old man was driving eastbound in the 1500 block of West Chicago Avenue “at a high rate of speed” when it rear-ended another car and caused a domino-effect crash, damaging two more cars, police said.

It appeared three sedans and an SUV were damaged.

Seven people were transported to area hospitals, a Fire Media Affairs spokesman said.
