A 48-year-old CTA bus driver has been faulted in a fatality collision at North Michigan and East Lake Tuesday, in which one woman died and nine people were injured. Aimee Coath, 51, of south suburban Flossmoor, Illinois, was pinned under the bus and was transported to Northwestern Hospital where she later died. Couth and the bus driver were most seriously hurt, and eight others were hospitalized - seven in serious condition, one in stable condition. The driver had worked for the transit agency for just under a year.
Avis Jolliff, the 23-year-old driver of the silver van was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, where he later died, according to police. The SUV driver was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center and listed in stable condition, police said.
