Muhammad Baqir is accused of driving in a drugged state when he crashed into a car, killing Meagan Patterson, a mother of three, and injuring the rest of her family. Several police described Baqir's demeanor as calm after the crash; he admitted he snorted heroin and had taken Xanax and marijuana in the days before. Baqir faces a variety of charges and faces 8 1/3 to 25 years in prison if convicted.
