Rachel Nicole Perkins, 22, was riding on the back of motorcycle driven by 38-year-old Jerome Roberson on Court Street, when Roberson for some reason lost control and struck the curb at 5:13 p.m. Perkins, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected from the bike and declared dead at the scene of the crash, while Roberson sustained non-life threatening injuries and was brought to the hospital.
