A 25-year-old man is dead after an accident near downtown Greenville, according to the Greenville County Coroner's Office.
Coroner Parks Evans said Kendrick Jamarkis Brockman died after he lost control of his Nissan Altima in the 1500 block of Main Street and hit several trees in the median.
The accident happened at 12:35 a.m. Friday.
Evans said the vehicle crossed over the median and landed in the southbound lane.
Brockman died at the scene from blunt force trauma to the head, Evans said.
Evans said Brockman was not wearing a seat belt.
Police are investigating a crash Thursday morning on Main Street that injured a Rhode Island woman.
Police were called to the area of 81 Main St. about 7:15 a.m. and found a car had crossed from the westbound into the eastbound lane, where it collided with a tractor-trailer.
Emergency responders extricated the driver from the car. She was identified as Elizabeth A. Hand, 26, of Pascoag, R.I. She was taken to a hospital in Worcester.
Police did not describe the extent of her injuries.
A 25-year-old pedestrian struck by a van and killed on Main Street late Tuesday night has been identified as Jason Kearchner, who lived at 663 Main St., officials said.
About 11:30 p.m., police were called to the area of 1045 Main St. (Route 13) in North Leominster on a report of a man struck by a car.
Mr. Kearchner was rushed to HealthAlliance Hospital — Leominster Campus, where he was pronounced dead, said a spokesman for the District Attorney.
