Denver, COTovar was traveling westbound on Highway 40 when he veered into the eastbound lane and struck a semi-truck driven by Jeffrey Higgs, 47. The collision caused Tovar's pickup truck to drift back over the westbound lane and into the shoulder, while the semi-truck veered off the opposite side of the highway. Tovar was pronounced dead at the scene, while Higgs was hospitalized with minor injuries.

Missoula, MTA 16-year-old Whitefish girl died when the car she was driving pulled into the path of a logging truck at about 4:30 p.m. Monday at an intersection on Highway 40 southeast of Whitefish, Montana. The driver of the truck, a 64-year-old man, was not injured in the crash. We'll update this story as more information becomes available.
