Just before 8:45 a.m., an ambulance carrying a patient crashed into a school bus from Valpraiso Community Schools. The bus was transporting 59 fifth-graders, 12 of which suffered minor injuries in the crash. Two ambulance employees and the patient in the ambulance were taken to local hospitals. Witnesses say the ambulance did not have emergency lights or sirens on at the time of the crash. The 23-year-old driver of the ambulance was driving with a suspended license.

Antonio Jammal Fields was arrested after crashing into a school bus on Magwood Drive and Ashley Crossing Drive. The bus was headed to  C.E. Williams Middle School, but only the driver and one student was injured. Before the crash, police spotted him making an improper lane change and attemted to pull him over. Fields fled, but did not make it far before crashing into the bus. He had no driver's license and was intoxicated.

Linda Manbevers was driving southbound on Ehren Cutoff when she crossed over into the oncoming lane and struck a school bus head on. Investigators are unsure what caused her to swerve in front of the bus. She was airlifted to a medical center with serious injuries but is currently listed in stable condition. She was reportedly driving without a license and had no proof of insurance. There were no kids on the bus, and the two adults onboard were not hurt.

We are learning new details after a school bus stolen by a 14-year-old boy crashed into a Roseville gas station Monday morning. The theft happened around 7:50 a.m. while the bus was parked on a side road with the keys inside and running near a Holiday Inn on the corner of Rice Street and Wheelock Parkway in St. Paul, according to police.
