Virginia State Police say a tractor trailer was heading east on Route 33 when it collided with a Honda Civic driven by 17-year-old Jeffrey Roach of McGaheysville at around 3:35 Friday afternoon. Ethan Zander, 16, of Elkton was a passenger in the Honda and was killed in the crash. Roach was brought to University of Virginia Medical Center with head injuries.
