A 46-year-old man was seriously injured and brought to Palomar Medical Center when his motorcycle collided with a Chevrolet Suburban at the intersection of Second Avenue and Kalmia Street on Thursday around 3:45 in the afternoon. The investigation is still ongoing but according to Escondido police lieutenant Justin Murphy, the  the 36-year-old woman driving the SUV, indetified as Maria Chavez, drove into the intersection into the motorcyclist’s path and the rider was unable to avoid the collision.
