Cincinnati, OHShawn Rhodes, 35, of Cincinnait, was riding with a half-dozen other motorcyclists when he lost control on KY 8 at around 6:30 p.m. Sunday . He struck a guardrail and was thrown from the motorcycle. Rhodes was transported to a hospital, where he died.

Cincinnati, OHA woman was hit by a falling tree at the Highland Dog Park on Mayfield Avenue in Northern Kentucky. The incident occured around 8:00 a.m. Tuesday morning, October 14. The woman was transported to St. Elizabeth-Fort Thomas hospital to treat injuries that were not life-threatening, and her dog is in the care of animal control. The identity of the woman and her condition have not yet been released.

Cincinnati, OHThe 2011 valedictorian from Highlands High School was killed in an auto accident just days after returning from college for the summer.
Randy Runyan, 21, was driving his grandfather to get a haircut when his vehicle was struck by a truck on Memorial Parkway in Fort Thomas Wednesday afternoon.
Runyan was pronounced dead upon his arrival at the hospital.
This is the type of news "you have nightmares" about getting, said Highlands High School Principal Brian Robinson.
"It is my understanding he was only back in town for a few days," Robinson said.
