A 4-year-old child, identified as Gabriel Castillo, is in recovery at the hospital after he was struck by a car while he was sledding at Richmond Park Saturday evening. The accident occured at approximately 7:00 last night at Richmond Park, on Alpine Avenue NW in Grand Rapids. According to the boy's relatives, 4-year-old Gabriel was out sledding with his dad when his sled slid into the road and he was struck by a car. The driver escaped from the site of the accident.
