The fatal crash occurred around 11 a.m. in Franklin County when Raymond Beck, New York, was driving in the northbound lanes near Greencastle when he swerved off the roadway, traveled across the median, and collided with a vehicle driving in the southbound lanes. Beck’s vehicle then collided with an embankment and caught fire. Both Raymond and his passenger, Rebecca Beck, were pronounced deceased at the crash site. The driver of the second vehicle, Stephen Williamson of Virginia, tried to avoid the other vehicle, but was struck head-on. His passenger, Kristine Williamson, died in the crash.
