Salt Lake City, UTHoskins was driving a pickup truck on I-15 when she slid on a patch of ice, causing the car to spin out and roll of the highway. As Hoskins was not wearing a seat belt, she was killed instantly. Local troopers are urging all drivers to drive slower if there is ice on the road and to always wear a seat belt.

Salt Lake City, UTStringfellow and her passenger were driving on Interstate 15 when she tried to pass a bus by pulling into the right lane and lost control of the vehicle. The car rolled down a steep bank and hit a tree. Neither teen was wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. Stringfellow was declared dead at the scene and the passenger was flown via helicopter to a hospital where she is listed in critical condition.
