Pastor Henry Lineberger of Etowah died late Monday morning at New Beginnings World Outreach Center while he was checking engine fluids in a church van. Investigators believe that the 69-year-old Lineberger put the vehicle in neutral but failed to set the emergency brake while the van was parked on a hill in front of the church. When the van began rolling, Hendersonville Police say that Lineberger tried to stop it from rolling by getting in front of, at which point he was run over and killed.
