Tampa-St. Petersburg, FLA Spring Hill man, Gary Alan Hetman, 49, died Wednesday morning following a hit-and-run accident in Holiday, Florida. The accident occured on U.S. 19 and Mile Stretch Drive, where Hetman walked west across U.S. 19 when he was hit by a southbound driver. Hetman was declared dead at the scene. A red BMW is possibly involved in the crash.

Tampa-St. Petersburg, FLFlorida Highway Patrol Sergeant Steve Gaskins says it's unlikely the driver didn't know the van hit something. The highway patrol is asking for anyone with any information to give troopers a call.
