At around 2:20am, police were responding to a call from a woman who claimed she was being threatened with a knife by her boyfriend. When the arrived, the suspect Michael Kynaston was already leaving in his pickup truck, and police tried to stop him but he continued evading them. Eventually, he lost control of his truck and crashed through a fence before striking a house. Fortunately, no one was injured in the crash, and though Kynaston initially tried to escape on foot after crashing his vehicle, he was apprehended and arrested.

Boisoneau was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and likely would not have been ejected from the vehicle had she been. She was taken via ambulance to Trios before ending up at the Kadlec Regional Medical Center.
