Thursday, March 12, 2015Phil Rutkowski, 66, and Judith Rutkowski, 69, both died in the crash near Lake Helen. A Chevy pickup, driven by Timothy Engels, 44, was traveling west on I-4 about 9:25 p.m. when Engels lost control of his vehicle, drove into the median, and hit the guardrail. The vehicle went airborne and landed on top of the Rutkowskis' SUV. Engels and his passenger, Jason Regan, 29, were transported to Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach with serious injuries. They were not wearing seatbelts.
