40-year-old Jeanne Anguiano was allegedly drunk and driving a stolen vehicle when she was headed south in the northbound lanes of Eastern Avenue at around 3:40 a.m. An officer that was directing traffic was attempting to pull her over, but not before she crashed into a truck and the three construction workers who were near it. Two of the workers and Anguiano herself were seriously injured and brought to the hospital, while one worker was struck but did not require hospitalization. A wrong-way collision Friday night left a teenager seriously injured and Cynthia Lorenz, 46, is facing a single DUI charge. Tyler Farmer, 18, suffered serious injuries and is expected to survive the crash. Lorenz was driving a Toyota Avalon when she crossed the double yellow line of Cliff Shadows Parkway and crashed into Farmer. Farmer was hospitalized at University Medical Center.
On Friday morning at 5:45 a.m. a westbound vehicle on Spring Mountain Road veered into oncoming traffic near Lindell Road, crashing into two other vehicles. Jose Silverio Ordaz, 57, of North Las Vegas, and Annie Cho, 23, of Las Vegas, were killed in the wreck. Cho was driving a 2011 Hyundai Sonata and collided into a 2014 Ford Transit Connect taxicab driven by Ordaz on Spring Mountain Road, near Lindell Road, according to Las Vegas police.
