Louisville, KYDrunk driver Jordan Griffin collided head-on into a truck carrying a man and four children around 4 p.m. on Saturday. Griffen's passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not yet been released. Both drivers and the four children were transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Louisville, KYAccording to the Milton-Madison Bridge Project, crews closed the bridge around 2 a.m. Tuesday after a steel bearing, about four-feet in diameter, dislodged between the bridge and a pier. The project manager closed the bridge believing it is unsafe to cross. The worker was not seriously injured. The bridge was due to be reduced to one lane on Thursday and to close completely on Friday for about a week. Now, the bridge will remain closed until the new bridge is slid into place, a process that is scheduled to begin on Thursday.
