A Covington man is in critical condition after he was struck by an SUV on Interstate 12 in Walker early Tuesday (Dec. 10), Walker police said. Police still are trying to determine why Chad Wayne Cox, 27, was on the interstate at 3:30 a.m.

Traffic is slow on Interstate 12 eastbound about two miles before the Louisiana 59 exit due to a crash involving a motorcycle. A Louisiana State Police spokesman said the motorcyclist was seriously injured.
