Tuesday, April 8, 2014A pedestrian was struck and killed in a hit-and-run collision in South San Jose early Wednesday morning.
San Jose police said the incident occurred at about 1:55 a.m., in the area of East Capitol Expressway and Seven Trees Boulevard.
“At about 1:55 this morning, we received a call from a citizen who advised us that there was a pedestrian who appeared to have been hit by a vehicle in the roadway,” said San Jose Police Lt. Tommy Troy. “At this point, we don’t have a vehicle description, but it is obviously a hit-and-run.”

Saturday, February 15, 2014San Jose police on Sunday were investigating a hit-and-run collision near an apartment complex that left a pedestrian dead.
The incident happened around 3 p.m. near The Woods Drive and Snell Avenue in south San Jose. When police arrived at the scene, they found a man lying on the ground, bleeding. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The coroner's office has not yet released the victim's name.

Thursday, February 6, 2014A man trying to cross Highway 101 on foot was struck by a car and killed late Friday night in San Jose, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The victim, Christopher Codee Tarsky, 20, of Santa Cruz, was in the southbound lane south of North First Street, walking from the median toward the right shoulder. As cars swerved to avoid him, he began running. He ran into the path of a Honda Accord, landing in a right lane. As the Honda pulled to the shoulder, a sport-utility vehicle struck the man and did not stop. A second SUV also hit Tarsky, left the freeway but returned.

Monday, December 23, 2013A pedestrian was killed by a hit-and-run driver in San Jose early Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The victim, a 48-year-old San Jose man, was walking west across Bascom Avenue south of Scott Street when he was hit by a car traveling north on Bascom, CHP officials said.
The driver fled after the collision, and the CHP was contacted at 12:45 a.m. when a witness spotted the victim lying motionless in the roadway.
He was taken to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, where he died of his injuries at about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday.
