Tuesday, February 4, 2014A big-rig that took out traffic signals on Stevens Creek Boulevard in San Jose Tuesday morning has prompted the California Highway Patrol to issue a Sig-alert for the affected area.
The incident involved a wide-load big rig hauling a portable building and was reported at 6:32 a.m. on Stevens Creek Boulevard at North Monroe Street, CHP Officer Eric Anderson said.
As of 6:50 a.m., westbound Stevens Creek Boulevard from southbound Interstate Highway 880 was closed to due power lines down in the roadway, according to Anderson.
