A 38-year-old Seneca man died Sunday at the Oconee Medical Center emergency room, one hour after being involved in a motorcycle collision near his home.
Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis said Martinze Oneal Buchanan, 38, apparently lost control of the motorcycle.
Troopers said he was thrown off the motorcycle and was not wearing a helmet.
The accident happened at 6:17 a.m. near 335 Rochester Highway.
Addis said Buchanan died from blunt force traumatic injuries.
Emergency crews were called to a wreck on Highway 123 near Cryovac Boulevard in Oconee County.
According to county officials, a motorcycle and tractor-trailer collided around 10:15 a.m. Sunday.
According to the Oconee County Coroner, the 64-year-old motorcyclist was airlifted to Greenville Memorial where he died around 11:52 a.m. Sunday.
The coroner has not released the victim's name pending family notification.
Seneca and Oconee County emergency workers said the South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
