A 22-year-old man from Sunnyvale died Friday after the car he was riding in collided with a truck going in the opposite direction. According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 3:20 p.m. on Highway 120 near Old Highway 120 in the Sonora area. Alex Hsu, 22, of Sunnyvale was driving a 2014 Toyota Camry west on Highway 120 when he tried to pass an unknown vehicle going in the same direction on a left-hand curve in the road. At the same time, a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Virginia Armas, 70, of Groveland was approaching in the opposite direction.
