A vehicle being driven by Brandon Simpkins was struck by a tractor-trailer, resulting in a fiery crash that killed six. The accident occured near Exit 41 on the westbound side of Interstate 26. Brandon Simpkins, Jermy Givens-Reedus, the front-seat passenger, and three children identified as 3-year-old Aliyah Sarai Vemira Simpkins, 6-year-old Rachael Naomi Simpkins and 4-year-old LesLeigh Robin Natalie Simpkins all died in the crash.

Robert Earl Reid was walking on Southport Road just after 1 a.m. when he was struck by Dennis Trammell's Toyota and killed. Trammell was wearing a seat belt and was not injured in the crash. This accident is still under investigation.

Robert Earl Reid, 58, of Pacolet was walking on Southport Road when a Toyota driven by Dennis Trammell, 20, of Union, South Carolina, struck him. Reid was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which occured just after 1 a.m. Sunday in Spartanburg.
