Several lanes of Interstate 270 were closed due to a multi-vehicle collision in west St. Louis County on Monday.
The wreck happened in the northbound lanes of the interstate just past Interstate 64 around around 8:15 a.m.
Four lanes of I-270 were shut down until crews cleared the scene about 9 a.m.
Accident reconstruction crews were called to the scene of a crash that left one person is dead in north St. Louis Saturday afternoon.
St. Louis Police said the victim, 38-year-old male driver of one of the vehicles involved, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police did not release any information on the condition of other possible victims.
Authorities reported the vehicles involved in the crash were a white SUV and grey car. Police did not indicate how the accident happened.
The accident happened at Page and Pendleton around 2:40 p.m.
Five adults and three children were injured in a head-on crash in north St. Louis Friday evening. St. Louis Fire officials said two of the children and four adults suffered serious injuries, but said none of the injuries appear life threatening. Authorities say 14 Parkway School District students were onboard the bus when it crashed near the intersection of Highway 141 and Dutch Mill. Police say multiple injuries were reported. The victims were transported to the hospital in unknown condition. Additional details surrounding the wreck were not immediately available.
