Portland, ORDavid Kyte was driving northbound on Highway 101 between Tillamook and Lincoln City when his vehicle struck a guardrail and rolled over. He died at the scene. Heavy rain was falling at the time of the accident, and Kyte was not wearing a seat belt.

Portland, ORAbout 12:40 p.m., authorities responded to the two-car accident that occurred when a Toyota Matrix traveling east crossed into westbound traffic, colliding with a Pontiac G6. The Toyota's driver has been identified as Lisa Anne Northrop, 50, of Portland. She was transported to OHSU Hospital via a Life Flight helicopter and is listed in critical condition. Her passenger, Raymond Patrick Brown, 46, also of Portland, was transported by REACH helicopter to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center with serious injuries.
