Friday, March 20, 2015A 12-year-old boy sustained critical injuries when he was hit by a car while getting on the school bus Friday morning. David Newman was getting on a school bus at 6:49 a.m. March 20 at F. Drive South in Eckford Township when he was hit by an eastbound vehicle driven by 24-year-old Earl J. Shepherd III of Marshall. David was airlifted to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo where he is listed in critical condition. It is not known if charges will be filed.
