Hartford & New Haven, CTSeveral people are injured following a serious two-car crash in Waterbury early Sunday morning.
It happened around 3:30 a.m. Sunday when two cars collided near the intersection of Cherry Street and North Elm Street in Waterbury.
As many as six people were inside the cars, many of which are listed in critical condition, according to police. Some were taken to Saint Mary's Hospital, others to Waterbury Hospital.
The victims have not been identified.

Hartford & New Haven, CTPolice are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed on Route 8 in Waterbury on Friday evening.
It happened around 6:30 p.m. near exits 35 and 36 on the northbound side, according to state police. The highway was shut down while authorities worked to clear the scene.
