A Saturday collision this weekend left a Jersey City man dead. The scene of the accident was Hillside Road/Defino Way. Fernando Tlatelpa, 27 of Jersey City, was driving eastbound when he lost control of vehicle, crossed over double yellow lines, and hit a 2008 Silver Toyota Highlander. Tlatelpa's 2002 Silver Acura then went through a fence and crashed into the hillside. Tlatelpa was removed from the car and taken to Jersey City Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. The condition of the 33-year-old Clifton woman who was driving the Toyota Highlander was not reported immediately.
