At about 12:30pm, Fortier was driving an SUV east on Route 90 when she crashed into a box truck. This caused her car to veer over the median into the westbound lanes, where she collided yet again with a semi-truck, driven by Joshua Lawrence, 23. The wreck left Fortier dead at the scene, while Lawrence was hospitalized with minor injuries and the driver of the box truck was not hurt. Investigation continues to try and determine possible causes of this accident; check back for updates.
