Just before 6:00pm, Izguerra-Leal's Explorer was stopped on Highway 12 when another Explorer driven by Erika F. Pinon, 31, that was traveling in the same direction rear-ended her. Izguerra-Leal was injured in the accident, but has already been treated and released, and Pinon was not injured but was cited for following too closely.
Maria N. Martinez, of Granger, was stopped for backed-up traffic at Ackley Road about 6:50 a.m. when Israel Cruz-Cruz, of Yakima, struck her car from behind. Both drivers were taken to the hospital, and Cruz-Cruz is expected to be ticketed in the incident.
