Charlotte, NCMargaret Lee Lumsden, 69, was driving at a high rate of speed on I-85 southbound through Belmont when she lost control of her car and crashed into a tree just after 9:30 a.m. near mile marker 25. She was pronounced dead at the scene. A medical issue may have played a part in the crash, which remains under investigation.

Atlanta, GAAccording to the Georgia State Patrol, Juan Ocompto, 18, was killed after being ejected from the vehicle. Ocompto died at the scene. GSP officials say the driver was going too fast for conditions when he lost control and the 2002 Ford Explorer overturned. Four people were riding in the vehicle.
