It was about 5:45 p.m. when an ambulance was responding to a call for aid on North End Drive, and was hijacked by a woman with a knife when it arrived at it's destination. The woman drove away alone in the ambulance, but ended up colliding head-on with a semi-truck on Frazier Mountain Park Road. The man in the semi-truck was found dead at the scene, while the woman sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead later at the hospital. It is still unclear if the woman who hijacked the ambulance was the person who made the call for aid. Check back for updates on this developing story.
