Cincinnati, OHDan Powers of Harrison, was the lone victim in a single-vehicle accident New Year's Eve after he lost control of his pick-up truck on East Miami River Road and struck a tree in Colerain Township. Impairment is not believed to have been a factor.

Cincinnati, OHA Middletown man was killed when his vehicle went off the side of Ohio 63 and crashed into a tree. Tommy Christopher David, 44, was driving west when he lost control of a 1999 Chrysler Cirrus he was operating on Ohio 63 just east of Heritage Green Drive. David’s vehicle went off the right side of the road and down a hill, and then hit a fence and then a tree. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. The initial investigation indicates speed was a contributing factor in the crash. It was later determined that the crash happened in connection with a police pursuit.

Cincinnati, OHA Hamilton man died after his car was struck by a train on Saturday morning.
The Butler County Sheriff's Office said Johnny Robbins, 38, of Hamilton, was traveling northbound on Hamilton-Eaton Road just after 1 a.m. when his car failed to negotiate a curve, crossed the center line and hit a guardrail before coming to rest on railroad tracks as a freight train approached.
The train struck Robbins' car and pushed it along the tracks for approximately 1,600 feet before the train could come to a complete stop.
Robbins was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
