On Wednesday evening, Jathon Bellamy, 46, of Goose Creek was biking near Cosgrove Avenue and Azalea Drive in North Charleston when he was hit and killed in a hit-and-run crash. Family and friends of the victim are asking anyone to come forward with any information.  Bellamy had left a friend's house around 9:00 pm in West Ashley and was riding his bike at the intersection of Cosgrove and Azalea, where he was killed. Police didn't respond until shortly after 11:00 pm. Bellamy was transported to MUSC he was pronounced deceased at 11:17 pm.
