Jacksonville, FLA 38-year-old Branford man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Columbia County early Monday morning. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Ronnie Kirby Jr., of Branford, was driving southbound on State Road 247 about three miles north of County Road 240 at around 4:20 a.m. when for unknown reasons his pickup truck to drifted off of the roadway and hit a large oak tree, crushing the front end of the truck, killing the driver. Kirby was not wearing a seat belt.
